This year, our Year 4 students are given the opportunity to enter artwork that maybe be selected to go on the Eurobodalla Shire Council's environmental calendar for 2015. The theme is preserving our estuaries and as a lead up, Bernadette Davis took us for a walk to our own beautiful Candlagan Creek. We will be creating our artwork over the coming weeks and will preview all of the entries on our blog.
Ben Mates is a local man who competed at the Vancouver Winter Olympics in 2010. He bought all his olympic gear in to show us and he also told us about his olympic experience.
We started 2014 with a fun look at some science activities: Bubble Trouble, digital microscopes, nature pics, floating a paper click, a tower of boxes (using no tape), magnetics, lego technics and hoop gliders.
Students took close up photos of different objects using the digital microscopes. Your challenge is to match the photo to the correct label. BE CAREFUL the labels are mixed. |
