Students are playing games that they have created themselves. The game had to use a dice in some way.
Last Wednesday, Gillian Kearney from Eurobodalla Shire Council explained to students in Years 3 & 4 how to go about conducting a water audit. She left the three classes a kit of all the things needed to investigate water usage at our school. Next term, we will be conducting a 'save our water' campaign and ensuring that there is no wastage through leaks and misuse.
Students also have the opportunity to participate in online games, competitions and obtain information by visiting the website: http://www.savewater.com.au This week we practised our measuring and weighing skills by making some cupcakes. They were delicious with icing and sprinkles.
Next week we will be continuing our measuring, weighing and cooking skills by making 'Speckled Bubble Bars'. You will have to stay tuned until next week to see what are the secret ingredients of this treat. |
